The Preppy Pig BBQ team is a cast of characters devoted to the New England BBQ lifestyle. We are a full service BBQ caterer dedicated to bringing you excellent service and a unique culinary experience. Our staff is well trained, well dressed, and more than excited to make sure your BBQ is the highlight of your summer!
Our BBQ team have all attended and completed The Preppy Pig ‘Que’ School and are professionally trained in order to make sure your experience is the best it can be! We have spent countless hours perfecting our recipes, developing our customer service, and above all else, figuring out ways to make your special day run as smooth as possible. ‘Que’ School is unlike anything in the industry and it is our pleasure to ensure you with the best service and BBQ in the area, while most likely wearing embroidered pants!
What We Do
The Preppy Pig Team walks you through every aspect of your event from the moment you inquire with us to the very last light is turned off on event day! We specialize and focus on the food we are providing you, but we pride ourselves in our ability to create the atmosphere of the lifestyle we love to live.
The planning begins with an initial conversation to understand exactly what your vision is for your event.
We have our most popular items and our best sellers, but we make sure to talk through all the menu options with you to decide what the best fit is for your event. The options are endless with starters, entrees, sides and desserts! BBQ is best when everyone is able to get a little taste of a lot of yummy items, so we will make sure to customize your menu to flow with the type of event you are hosting.
With every event we do, we facilitate all catering aspects from the location of our smoker, buffet and bars to the type of dishware or disposable products you are looking for. We also love to help our clients ease the time you spend working with many vendors by supplying you the opportunity to get your rentals through us. We work with all the local rental companies and can make sure you get the tents, table, chairs, linens and anything else that you want without the hassle of a whole new contact to work with.
How We Do It
Our pitmaster shows up on the scene early to fire up the smoker and start your BBQ off right! We’ll need space to set up in your driveway, lawn, yard, field, club, school, or wherever on your property, and begin the process. Since we are a traditional BBQ caterer, we practice the art of ‘low and slow’ cooking and depending on proteins, will be there up to 15 hours in advance.
We ask for a minimum headcount of 25 people and the menu is up to you. Once the menu is squared away, we can further plan the timing of your BBQ. We cook everything onsite. Nothing is reheated and transported from one site to another, ensuring your BBQ is fresh out of our smokers and presented specifically for you.
This is not your average backyard BBQ consisting of hot dogs and hamburgers off the grill. Not that there’s anything wrong with grilling but we BBQ and we are passionate about it!
While our pitmaster is preparing your BBQ hours in advance, our trained staff will arrive pre party, with a Front of House manager and at the very least, one server. They get there early enough to help set up your event and help you with just about everything else. The Front of the House manager will be your ‘point person’ for the day and will see your event through from service to clean up.
